Maroons trio still on holiday and Nicol's suffered a setback Print E-mail
Keith have two games against junior clubs this midweek and they start with a visit to Spain Park to face Banks O'Dee, who finished fifth in the North Region Super League last season, ending their run of championship successes.

The Maroons' preparations for boss Darren Still's first full season at the helm continued at the weekend with a comfortable 4-0 home win over amateur side Rattray's XI. Several of the Keith youngsters were given a run out in that match but the side is expected to take a more familiar shape for this one as Still explained:

"Banks O'Dee are one of the top junior sides at this end so it will be a good workout but unfortunately we will have some guys out. Nonetheless, it will be a workout and we are looking to step things up a bit with the season starting a week on Saturday.

"Garry MacNamee misses out against his former club and against his younger brother but Craig Phillip will be playing against the team we signed him from and they have Danny Tritton while Davie Calder has just signed for them as well so they have one or two with Keith connections and it will be good to see them again."

Garry MacNamee, Jonny Watt and Sean Keith all miss the match for the Maroons because of holidays while striker Gary Nicol broke an ankle in the weekend match and will be in plaster for the next eight weeks.
