Tindal: Wasn't the best to watch but three points were important / Still: Didn't deserve to lose Print E-mail
Cove Rangers got back to winning ways with a victory over Keith at Rainbow Taxis Park as they edged the Maroons out by a single goal.

Robbie Henderson was the man who grabbed the only strike of the game on 37 minutes and despite Keith's fight back in the second half, they couldn't break down the Toonsers' resistance.

Reporter Andrew Skinner spoke to both management teams after the final whistle for http://www.highlandleague.net/ and the interviews are available below in audio form.

Snippets: I thought both teams tried to play and it was a non-stop tempo from both although it wasn't the best to watch. The most important thing was the three points, especially with the run we have been on. I thought we rode our luck at times but I thought we deserved the three points today.

We had our stall set out to try and play at pace in the wide areas but it didn't really work out that way. We mixed it up in the second half because they gambled a wee bit. You are never safe at 1-0 but credit to our back five for the last 10 or 15 minutes because they did well. It has been a while since we had a clean sheet.

Robbie Henderson was a doubt before the game but we gambled on him and he took the chance really well.

Snippets: To put it bluntly, we certainly didn't deserve to get beat. Did we do enough to go and win the game - difficult to say. We didn't though and we lost the game 1-0 which as the disappointing things.

The positives I can take from today was our performance against a top Highland League side, especially in the second half. From the second half of the first half - once we had settled down - until the end of the second half, I thought we were the team that was pressing and pushing for the goal.

Cove were always a threat on the break with their good players in forward areas but we were always pressing and it is disappointing that we weren't able to convert any of the numerous efforts we had on goal.
