Report Snippets: Nine-goal Haughs thriller Print E-mail
Turriff United and Keith played out an enthralling encounter at The Haughs with the home side fighting back from two goals down to lead 4-2 before the Maroons themselves came back to win the game at the death.

It all started less than two minutes in when Daniel Park sent an unstoppable volley past Ross Buchanan before Keith made it two on 25 minutes as Park grabbed his second of the evening after being teed up by Richard Craig.

The hosts pulled one back when Leigh Henderson crashed home a powerful drive from the edge of the box on 34 minutes before Craig Morrison levelled the game from the penalty spot four minutes later after a foul on Gary Harris.

Turriff took the lead for the first time in the game after the restart when the ball broke the Morrison in the box and he slammed it home at the near post.

Then United established a two-goal lead of their own when Robbie Allan's free kick caught out Andrew Duff in the Keith goal as it drifted over the head of the debutant shot stopper.

However, Dean Donaldson gave Keith hope with a deflected shot that flew past Buchanan before the same player evened things up again by knocking home Stuart Walker's cut back.

The game was won in the final minute as Wayne Mackay rose above the Turriff defence to head home goal number of the evening to take all three points back to Kynoch Park.
