Keith and Lennox return / Three return but five Locos absentees |
|
|
Two clubs who probably had eyes on the Highland League championship at the start of the season were Keith and Inverurie Locos but for one reason or another, it hasn't quite happened for either and they find themselves in 10th and eighth spot in the table respectively.
The two clubs meet at Kynoch Park on Saturday as they aim to finish the season with a flourish and push as high up the table as they possibly can. Maroons boss Darren Still felt his troops were flat against Fraserburgh last weekend and is looking for more of a spark from his side this time out. He said:
"Over the last few years, both clubs have found themselves up in the upper regions of the table and I am sure the Locos are feeling the same way as us in that they haven't done as well this season as they would have hoped.
"When we have played each other over the last few years, there is a wee edge to the games and I wouldn't expect it to be any different on Saturday. Last Saturday was as flat as I have seen us in a long time. Yes, we didn't play particularly well in the semi final against Rothes but we gave it good go. Last week though, we were very flat against Fraserburgh and our standard of play wasn't what I expected from the players. I will be looking for them to make up for that by going and winning this game."
Phil McCall and Richard Craig are out injured for the home side and Stuart Walker is a doubt. However, forward Cammy Keith and Jamie Lennox are both available again having missed last |
