Wick Academy manager Barry Wilson has handed his side a major boost by turning down the chance to move to First Division side Queen of the South.
The position became vacant earlier in the week when Allan Johnston departed to Kilmarnock - before attention turned to Scorries boss Wilson who played for the Doonhamers for two years.
However, the former Inverness Caley Thistle and Ross County midfielder has elected to remain in charge at Harmsworth Park, and having led Wick to their best ever league finish last season it is a move that will delight Academy fans.
Elsewhere, Clachnacuddin have added former Inverness CT pair Kyle Whyte and Andy Skinner to their squad ahead of next season.
The youngsters were released by the SPL club at the end of last season, and join team-mate Ryan Watson in joining the Highland League after the midfielder penned a two-year deal with Brora Rangers.
Defender Skinner and forward Whyte have both made the short move across the city to Merkinch.
Meanwhile Rothes have completed the signing of Liam Forbes from Banff Rovers.
The striker has joined Frani More's new-look MacKessack Park side.
